SWPAHRC is a both a NAHRA Club (North American Hunting Retriever Association) and a HRC Club (Hunting Retriever Club).
The SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA HUNTING RETRIEVER CLUB (SWPAHRC) was established in 1989 as a nonprofit organization with the following objectives:
1. To encourage and promote responsible breeding, care and training of purebred retrievers.
2. To protect and advance the interests of retrieving breeds.
3. To encourage, promote and advance the proper methods of retriever training.
4. To actively support conservation efforts and programs to improve hunting conditions and opportunities.
5. To conduct a licensed North American Hunting Retriever Association (NAHRA https://nahra.org/ ) hunting test.
6. To conduct a HRC (Hunting Retriever Club https://huntingretrieverclub.org/ ) hunt test.
